Ephesians 6 · a question people ask
"for which I am an ambassador in chains" (6:20). Where was he held?
The letter doesn't say. Here it says, "for which I am an ambassador in chains" (6:20). Earlier the letter's I calls himself "the prisoner of Christ Jesus" (3:1) and "the prisoner in the Lord" (4:1). It doesn't say where he was held or for how long, and these notes say nothing about it beyond the letter's own words.
The verses
“for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”
“For this cause I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles,”
“I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,”
