Acts 26 · a question people ask
Paul says he is "saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen" (26:22). Which passages does he mean?
He doesn't name any. His words run on: "Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen," (26:22) "how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles.”" (26:23). He quotes no passage and names no book, and these notes name none for him. No line on Favor's map rests on these verses. The go-deeper Nothing but what the prophets and Moses said points to other verses in Acts and Luke where no passage is named either.
