2 Thessalonians 3 · a question people ask
The verse says, "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one." (3:3). The letter doesn't name the evil one, and these notes don't either. They say no more of the evil one than the verse says.

2 Thessalonians ends as it began, with grace and peace (1:2, 3:16, 3:18). And in its last chapter, three words Strong's ties together stand side by side: "not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful" (3:2-3), then "We have confidence in the Lord concerning you" (3:4).
