"that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men" (3:2). Who were they?
The letter doesn't name them. It says, "Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have faith." (3:1-2). It doesn't say who the men were, where they were, or what they did, and these notes don't either. They apply the words to no one, then or now.
