"that he who opposes you may be ashamed" (2:8). Who is he who opposes Titus?
The letter doesn't say. It tells Titus to show "soundness of speech that can’t be condemned, that he who opposes you may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us." (2:8). It names no one and says no more of him, and these notes don't name anyone either.
