Revelation 7 · a question people ask
"I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God" (7:2). What is the seal?
Here is what the chapter says of it. It is "the seal of the living God", and another angel has it as he ascends "from the sunrise" (7:2). He cries to the four angels, "Don’t harm the earth, the sea, or the trees, until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads!" (7:3). So the seal is the living God's; those to be sealed are "the bondservants of our God", sealed "on their foreheads"; and the earth, the sea and the trees are not to be harmed until then. Beyond these words, the chapter doesn't say what the seal is or what it looks like, and these notes don't either.
