Revelation 16 · a question people ask
"It is done!" (16:17). What is done?
Here is what the text says. "The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”" (16:17). Before the bowls, John saw "seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them God’s wrath is finished" (15:1), and this chapter opens with the command, "Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!" (16:1). Beyond these words, the chapter doesn't say what is done, and these notes don't either.
