"do you love me more than these?" (21:15). More than what?

In the text

The verse doesn't say. These are Jesus's words: "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?" (21:15). Peter's answer doesn't take up the words more than these: "Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you." (21:15). And Jesus's next two questions don't have them: "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?" (21:16), and "Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?" (21:17). These notes don't say what these are.

In the WEB's John, Jesus says "Follow me" to one man in the first chapter, to Philip (1:43), and not again until the last, to Peter (21:19, 21:22). And as John 20 said there were "many other signs" not written (20:30), the book's last verse says, "There are also many other things which Jesus did" (21:25).
