Hebrews 1 · a question people ask
"has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son" (1:2). Which days are these?
Here are the letter's own words: "God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways," (1:1) "has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son" (1:2). The one thing they say of those days is that in them God has spoken by his Son, where in the past he spoke through the prophets. The chapter says no more of them, and these notes don't date them or tie them to any event.
The verses
“God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.”
