Galatians 6 · a question people ask

"See with what large letters I write to you with my own hand." (6:11). Why large letters?

In the text

The verse doesn't say. It says only that the letters are large, and that the letter's I writes them "with my own hand" (6:11), and the letter says nothing more about them. These notes give no reason, and set no other verse beside it.

The verses

Galatians 6: Except in the cross

The letter's I ends by naming the one boast it allows, "far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ" (6:14), and the letter's last words are "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen." (6:18).
