2 Corinthians 6 · a question people ask
It doesn't say. The list speaks of we, "in everything commending ourselves as servants of God" (6:4). The chapter doesn't say whether these things will come to anyone else, and it doesn't say what each of them was. These notes say no more, and apply them to no one's suffering today.

"Our heart is enlarged" (6:11) and "you also open your hearts" (6:13) have one Greek verb behind enlarged and open. And 6:11 is the only verse where the letter calls its readers Corinthians.
