2 Corinthians 11 · a question people ask

"For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we didn’t preach" (11:4). Who is he who comes?

In the text

The chapter doesn't say. It names him as he who comes only in this verse, and the verse goes on to what the readers do: "you put up with that well enough" (11:4). These notes don't name him, and apply the verse to no teacher, church or movement today.

The verses

“For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we didn’t preach, or if you receive a different spirit which you didn’t receive, or a different “good news” which you didn’t accept, you put up with that well enough.”

2 Corinthians 11: If I must boast

The chapter that says "If I must boast, I will boast of the things that concern my weakness" (11:30) ends with being "let down in a basket through a window by the wall" (11:33). And one Greek verb is behind every bear with in it.
