1 Corinthians 6 · a question people ask
"for you were bought with a price" (6:20). Bought by whom, and with what price?
The verse doesn't say. It says that they were bought, and what follows from it: "You are not your own, for you were bought with a price." (6:19-20), and "Therefore glorify God in your body" (6:20). It names neither the one who bought them nor the price, and these notes don't fill either in.
The verses
“Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
