Revelation 4: A door opened in heaven

Read Revelation 4:1-11 before you meet.

In a few lines

The elders sit "with crowns of gold on their heads" (4:4), and when they worship, they "throw their crowns before the throne" (4:10): the crowns on their heads are the crowns they throw.

The verse to carry

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy One, to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed and were created!”

Revelation 4:11

To talk about

  1. 1. "Behold, there was a throne set in heaven" (4:2). What difference does it make to an ordinary week to remember that throne?

  2. 2. The living creatures "give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne" (4:9). What is one thing you want to give thanks for this week?

  3. 3. "for you created all things" (4:11). Where did you see something God made this week that made you stop for a moment?
