2 Thessalonians 3: The Lord is faithful
Read 2 Thessalonians 3:1-18 before you meet.
In a few lines
2 Thessalonians ends as it began, with grace and peace (1:2, 3:16, 3:18). And in its last chapter, three words Strong's ties together stand side by side: "not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful" (3:2-3), then "We have confidence in the Lord concerning you" (3:4).
The verse to carry
“But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.”
2 Thessalonians 3:3
To talk about
1. "Finally, brothers, pray for us" (3:1). Whom could you pray for this week, and what would you ask?
2. "for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful" (3:2-3). What helps you hold on to the Lord's faithfulness?
3. "But you, brothers, don’t be weary in doing what is right." (3:13). What helps you keep going in doing what is right when it is hard?
