1 Peter 4: Good managers of grace
Read 1 Peter 4:1-19 before you meet.
In a few lines
In 1 Peter 4, think it is strange (4:4) and be astonished (4:12) have one Greek verb behind them, and the chapter that opens with Christ who "suffered" (4:1) closes with those "who suffer according to the will of God" (4:19).
The verse to carry
“As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.”
1 Peter 4:10
To talk about
1. "Be hospitable to one another without grumbling." (4:9). What would help you welcome others without grumbling?
2. "As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another" (4:10). What is one way you could serve someone in your group this week?
3. "that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ" (4:11). Where in an ordinary day could that be true of what you do?
