Titus 1 · a question people ask
"the husband of one wife" (1:6). What do these words mean?
Here are the letter's own words: "if anyone is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, who are not accused of loose or unruly behavior." (1:6). The letter says no more about what they mean, and these notes don't either. They apply the words to no one's marriage or children, and to no church, today.
