"Don’t damage the oil and the wine!" (6:6). Why does the voice say this?

Here is the verse as the WEB has it: "I heard a voice in the middle of the four living creatures saying, “A choenix of wheat for a denarius, and three choenix of barley for a denarius! Don’t damage the oil and the wine!”" (6:6). The words come from "a voice in the middle of the four living creatures" (6:6), straight after its words about wheat and barley, and they are the last words the voice says. The chapter gives the voice's words and doesn't say why, and these notes don't either.
