Matthew 22 · a question people ask
What is the "wedding clothing" (22:11)?
Matthew tells of no explanation. The king "saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing" (22:11), and said to him, "Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?" (22:12). "He was speechless" (22:12). The parable doesn't say what the clothing is, where it came from, or why the man had none, and these notes don't either. They identify the man with no one.
