1 John 5 · a question people ask
"This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ" (5:6). What does it mean?
Here are the verses as the WEB has them: "This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth." (5:6) "For there are three who testify:" (5:7) "the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and the three agree as one." (5:8). These notes don't explain it further, and they set no other verse beside it.
