1 Corinthians 10 · a question people ask
"God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able" (10:13). Does the verse mean nothing too hard will ever come?
The verse doesn't use those words. Whole, it says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (10:13). It doesn't say what the way of escape will be. These notes promise no one any particular outcome, and say no more than the verse says.
