Titus 3: Ready for every good work
Read Titus 3:1-15 before you meet.
In a few lines
In Titus 3, maintain good works in "careful to maintain good works" (3:8) and "learn to maintain good works" (3:14) is the same three Greek words, in the same order. And of the six verses of Titus that say good work or good works, the four that say good works have one Greek word for good, and the two that say good work have another.
The verse to carry
“This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you insist confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men;”
Titus 3:8
To talk about
1. "to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility toward all men" (3:2). Which of these would you most like to grow in this week?
2. The letter speaks of being "ready for every good work" (3:1). What would being ready look like for you this week?
3. The letter's last verse says, "Grace be with you all." (3:15). Looking back over the whole letter, which words will you carry with you?
