Titus 2: The grace of God has appeared
Read Titus 2:1-15 before you meet.
In a few lines
In Titus 2 the grace of God that "has appeared" (2:11) is also "instructing us" (2:12), and behind instructing is a verb Strong's gives first as training up a child. And the chapter's sound words, in "sound doctrine" (2:1) and "soundness of speech" (2:8), are words Strong's gives first of health.
The verse to carry
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,”
Titus 2:11
To talk about
1. "For the grace of God has appeared" (2:11). What comes to mind when you hear that the grace of God has appeared?
2. The letter says the grace of God is "instructing us" (2:12). What do you make of grace being described as instructing?
3. "we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age" (2:12). Which of these would you most like to grow in, and what might help?
