Revelation 5: A Lamb standing
Read Revelation 5:1-14 before you meet.
In a few lines
The book is "in the right hand of him who sat on the throne" (5:1), and no one "was able to open the book" (5:3). Then John sees "a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain" (5:6), and "he took it out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne" (5:7).
The verse to carry
“I saw in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.”
Revelation 5:6
To talk about
1. "Then I wept much" (5:4). What helps you when you are waiting on something that seems shut?
2. "a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain" (5:6). What do you notice first in these words, and what do they stir in you?
3. "Then the elders fell down and worshiped" (5:14). What helps you to worship when you come to the end of your own words?
