Revelation 3: I stand at the door and knock
Read Revelation 3:1-22 before you meet.
In a few lines
To Philadelphia the speaker says, "I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut" (3:8), and to Laodicea, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock" (3:20). One chapter holds both doors: one set open before them, and one he stands at and knocks.
The verse to carry
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me.”
Revelation 3:20
To talk about
1. "Wake up and strengthen the things that remain" (3:2). What is one thing in your walk with God you would like to strengthen this week?
2. "you have a little power, and kept my word, and didn’t deny my name" (3:8). When has a little strength been enough for you to keep going?
3. "then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me" (3:20). When has sharing a meal with someone drawn you closer to them?
