Revelation 21: The holy city, Jerusalem
Read Revelation 21:1-27 before you meet.
In a few lines
John is carried "to a great and high mountain" (21:10) and shown a city with "a great and high wall" (21:12). Its gates "were twelve pearls" (21:21), and "Its gates will in no way be shut by day" (21:25). And he says, "I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple." (21:22).
The verse to carry
“I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.”
Revelation 21:22
To talk about
1. "I will give freely to him who is thirsty" (21:6). What are you thirsty for this week?
2. John is shown the city "having the glory of God" (21:11). Which detail of the city in this chapter would you most like to see for yourself, and why?
3. "Its gates will in no way be shut by day" (21:25). When have you arrived somewhere and been glad to find it open to you, and what did that mean to you?
