Revelation 11: My two witnesses
Read Revelation 11:1-19 before you meet.
In a few lines
In the elders' words, the nations' anger and God's wrath stand side by side: "The nations were angry, and your wrath came" (11:18).
The verse to carry
“saying: “We give you thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and reigned.”
Revelation 11:17
To talk about
1. "The twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God’s throne, fell on their faces and worshiped God" (11:16). They sit on thrones, and they fall on their faces. What do you find hardest to lay down when you come to worship God?
2. "those who fear your name" (11:18). What do you think it looks like to fear God's name in an ordinary week?
3. The two witnesses are "standing before the Lord of the earth" (11:4). What would change in your day if you remembered that you live it before the Lord of the earth?
