Psalm 101: Within my house
Read Psalm 101:1-8 before you meet.
In a few lines
The "blameless life" the speaker resolves to live (101:2) and the "perfect way" he looks for in whoever serves him (101:6) are the same two Hebrew words. And silence in 101:5 and destroy in 101:8 are one Hebrew verb.
The verse to carry
“I will be careful to live a blameless life. When will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a blameless heart.”
Psalm 101:2
To talk about
1. "I will walk within my house with a blameless heart" (101:2). The speaker starts at home. What would walking with a blameless heart look like inside your own home this week?
2. "I will set no vile thing before my eyes" (101:3). What do you set before your eyes most days, and is there anything you'd like to set aside?
3. "My eyes will be on the faithful of the land" (101:6). Who are the faithful people you keep close, and how have they helped you walk well?
