Psalm 100: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving
Read Psalm 100:1-5 before you meet.
In a few lines
Psalm 100 is the only psalm whose title has todah, "thanksgiving" (100:1). Its seven calls go out to "all you lands" (100:1), and twice a line about the LORD opens with the same small Hebrew word, ki: "Know that the LORD, he is God" (100:3), and "For the LORD is good" (100:5).
The verse to carry
“Know that the LORD, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.”
Psalm 100:3
To talk about
1. "Serve the LORD with gladness" (100:2). What is something you do for God that you'd like to do with more gladness, and what might help?
2. "It is he who has made us, and we are his" (100:3). What difference does it make to you, this week, that you belong to the one who made you?
3. "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving" (100:4). What will you thank God for as your group comes together this week?
