Proverbs 30: Every word of God is flawless
Read Proverbs 30:1-33 before you meet.
In a few lines
The speaker who says "neither do I have the knowledge of the Holy One" (30:3) goes on, "Every word of God is flawless" (30:5), nearly David's own line. And the chapter ends on one Hebrew word said three times: churning, wringing and forcing (30:33), with nose and wrath one word too.
The verse to carry
“Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.”
Proverbs 30:5
To talk about
1. The speaker begins, "I have not learned wisdom, neither do I have the knowledge of the Holy One" (30:3), and a few lines later says, "Every word of God is flawless" (30:5). Why might saying what we don't know be a good place to begin with God?
2. The one praying fears that if he were full he might "deny you, and say, ‘Who is the LORD?’" (30:9). Why do you think having plenty could make it easier to forget God?
3. Four things are "little on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise" (30:24). What have small or easily overlooked things taught you?
