Numbers 12: Faithful in all my house
Read Numbers 12 before you meet.
In a few lines
Miriam and Aaron gave the Cushite woman as their reason (12:1), but the LORD answered what they asked (12:2): prophets hear him in visions and dreams, but with his servant Moses he speaks "mouth to mouth" (12:6-8). And Moses never answered for himself. His only words were a prayer for Miriam (12:13).
The verse to carry
“Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all the men who were on the surface of the earth.”
Numbers 12:3
To talk about
1. Miriam and Aaron gave one reason (12:1), but their words were about something else (12:2). When have you found that a complaint, yours or someone else's, was really about something underneath it?
2. Moses didn't answer for himself; the LORD did (12:3-8). What makes it hard for you to let God speak up for you instead of defending yourself?
3. Moses prayed for Miriam, and the whole camp waited seven days for her (12:13-15). Who could you pray for, or wait for, this week?
