Mark 10: Followed Jesus on the way
Read Mark 10:1-52 before you meet.
In a few lines
Jesus asks the same question twice in this chapter: "What do you want me to do for you?" (10:36, 10:51). James and John asked to sit at his right hand and his left in his glory. Blind Bartimaeus asked to see again, and then "followed Jesus on the way" (10:52).
The verse to carry
“For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Mark 10:45
To talk about
1. Jesus asked James and John, and then Bartimaeus, the same question: "What do you want me to do for you?" (10:36, 10:51). If he asked you today, what would you say?
2. "whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant" (10:43). Where have you seen someone be great in that way?
3. "whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it" (10:15). What do you think it looks like to receive God's Kingdom like that?
