In a few lines
The angel says, "For nothing spoken by God is impossible." (1:37), and Mary answers, "let it be done to me according to your word" (1:38). In Greek, spoken and word are the same noun: God's word, and Mary's answer to it.

To talk about
1. The angel tells Zacharias, "your request has been heard" (1:13). What would you like to bring to God in prayer this week?
2. Mary answered, "let it be done to me according to your word" (1:38). Where might God be asking you to say that this week?
3. Elizabeth greeted Mary with "Blessed are you among women" (1:42) and "Blessed is she who believed" (1:45). Who could you encourage this week, and what would you say to them?
