Leviticus 8: As the LORD commanded Moses
Read Leviticus 8 before you meet.
In a few lines
Leviticus 8 is Exodus 29 carried out, in front of the whole congregation (8:3-4). Five times it says a step was done "as the LORD commanded Moses" (8:9, 8:13, 8:17, 8:21, 8:29), and it ends, "Aaron and his sons did all the things which the LORD commanded by Moses" (8:36).
The verse to carry
“Aaron and his sons did all the things which the LORD commanded by Moses.”
Leviticus 8:36
To talk about
1. Aaron and his sons were washed, dressed and made priests with the whole congregation gathered (8:3-6). What's it like for you to take a step with God where others can see it?
2. Five times the chapter says a step was done "as the LORD commanded Moses" (8:9). Where do you find it hardest to do what God says his way rather than your own?
3. Before they served, the priests stayed at the door of the Tent of Meeting "day and night seven days" (8:35). When have you had to wait before God before starting something, and what happened in the waiting?
