Jude 1: Contend earnestly for the faith
Read Jude 1:1-25 before you meet.
In a few lines
Jude says, "while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith" (1:3). One verse holds both what the letter was eager to write about and what it was constrained to write.
The verse to carry
“May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.”
Jude 1:2
To talk about
1. "keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith" (1:20). What is one thing that helps build up your faith during an ordinary week?
2. "looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life" (1:21). What difference does looking for that mercy make to an ordinary day?
3. "to God our Savior, who alone is wise" (1:25). Where in your week would it help most to trust that God is wise?
