Job 10: Your hands have framed me
Read Job 10:1-22 before you meet.
In a few lines
In Hebrew, the preserved of "Your visitation has preserved my spirit" (10:12) and the mark of "if I sin, then you mark me" (10:14) are one verb, shamar, two verses apart. It is the verb of the LORD's words to Satan: "Only spare his life" (2:6).
The verse to carry
“You have granted me life and loving kindness. Your visitation has preserved my spirit.”
Job 10:12
To talk about
1. Job asks God, "Show me why you contend with me" (10:2). When you don't understand why something hard is happening, what do you do with that question?
2. Job says to God, "Your hands have framed me" (10:8), and "You have granted me life and loving kindness" (10:12). What difference does it make to you to think of yourself as someone God made?
3. Job says to God, "you know that I am not wicked" (10:7). When people have misjudged you, what has it meant to you that God knows the truth?
