Galatians 3: The blessing of Abraham
Read Galatians 3:1-29 before you meet.
In a few lines
Galatians 3 says of the promises to Abraham, "He doesn’t say, “To descendants”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”, which is Christ" (3:16), and ends, "If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise." (3:29). And Galatians, by name, stands in the whole WEB only in "Foolish Galatians" (3:1).
The verse to carry
“For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 3:26
To talk about
1. "before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly portrayed among you as crucified" (3:1). What has helped you see Jesus Christ crucified more clearly?
2. "though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void or adds to it" (3:15). When has someone kept their word to you, and what did it show you?
3. "For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus." (3:26). What difference does it make to read these words together with others?
