Galatians 2: Christ lives in me
Read Galatians 2:1-21 before you meet.
In a few lines
In Galatians 2, respected and reputed are one verb four times (2:2, 2:6, 2:9); by the WEB's marks the words said "to Peter before them all" (2:14) run to the end of the chapter; and in 2:20 live is one verb four times: "it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me".
The verse to carry
“I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.”
Galatians 2:20
To talk about
1. "gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship" (2:9). Who has given you a right hand of fellowship, and what did it mean to you?
2. "that the truth of the Good News might continue with you" (2:5). Who has helped you hold on to the Good News?
3. The letter's *I* says of the Son of God, "who loved me and gave himself up for me" (2:20). What do you notice when a sentence about Christ is said this personally?
