Acts 28: Without hindrance

Read Acts 28:1-31 before you meet.

In a few lines

Acts ends on one Greek word, the WEB's "without hindrance" (28:31), and the New Testament has it nowhere else. And the book that first speaks of God’s Kingdom in its third verse (1:3) ends with Paul in Rome "preaching God’s Kingdom" (28:31).

The verse to carry

“Paul stayed two whole years in his own rented house and received all who were coming to him, preaching God’s Kingdom and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, without hindrance.”

Acts 28:30-31

To talk about

  1. 1. "The natives showed us uncommon kindness" (28:2). Who has shown you kindness you didn't expect, and how could you pass it on this week?

  2. 2. "When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage." (28:15). Who could you go out to meet this week, so that they take courage?

  3. 3. Acts ends with Paul "preaching God’s Kingdom and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness" (28:31). What would it look like for you to speak of Jesus with boldness where you are?
