2 Corinthians 9: A matter of generosity

Read 2 Corinthians 9:1-15 before you meet.

In a few lines

Behind generous gift and generosity (9:5) and both bountifullys (9:6) is one Greek noun, the one the WEB most often gives elsewhere as blessing. And the chapter that speaks of sowing and reaping ends in thanks: "Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!" (9:15).

The verse to carry

“Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!”

2 Corinthians 9:15

To talk about

  1. 1. "Your zeal has stirred up very many of them." (9:2). Whose zeal has stirred you up, and to what?

  2. 2. "but abounds also through much giving of thanks to God" (9:12). When has something someone else did led you to give thanks to God?

  3. 3. "while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, yearn for you" (9:14). Who prays for you, and whom could you pray for this week?
