2 Corinthians 5: Be reconciled to God
Read 2 Corinthians 5:1-21 before you meet.
In a few lines
2 Corinthians 5 says, "we walk by faith, not by sight" (5:7), and "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation" (5:17). It speaks of reconciling in three verses running (5:18-20), and its plea is, "be reconciled to God" (5:20).
The verse to carry
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
To talk about
1. "for we walk by faith, not by sight." (5:7). Where in your life right now are you walking by faith rather than by what you can see?
2. "that those who live should no longer live to themselves" (5:15). What would it look like for you to live a little less to yourself this week?
3. "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation" (5:17). What difference do these words make to how you think of yourself?
