2 Corinthians 2: Forgive him and comfort him

In a few lines
2 Corinthians 2 says of one who caused sorrow, "you should rather forgive him and comfort him" (2:7), and says, "For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God" (2:15). In 2:16, stench and sweet aroma are one Greek noun.

To talk about
1. "you should rather forgive him and comfort him" (2:7). What does it look like to comfort someone, and not only to forgive them?
2. The chapter goes from "I had no relief for my spirit" (2:13) to "Now thanks be to God" (2:14). What helps you give thanks when your spirit has no relief?
3. "Who is sufficient for these things?" (2:16). When have you felt you weren't sufficient for something in front of you?
