2 Chronicles 15: He will be found by you

Read 2 Chronicles 15:1-19 before you meet.

In a few lines

Azariah's promise, "if you seek him, he will be found by you" (15:2), comes back twice in this chapter: "he was found by them" (15:4, 15:15), with the same Hebrew verb for found. And his "your work will be rewarded" (15:7) is word for word what the LORD says to Rachel, weeping for her children (Jeremiah 31:16).

The verse to carry

“But when in their distress they turned to the LORD, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found by them.”

2 Chronicles 15:4

To talk about

  1. 1. Azariah said, "The LORD is with you while you are with him" (15:2). What does being with him look like for you on an ordinary day?

  2. 2. "But you be strong! Don’t let your hands be slack" (15:7). Where are your hands tempted to go slack right now, and what would help you keep going?

  3. 3. People came to Asa "when they saw that the LORD his God was with him" (15:9). Whose life has shown you that God was with them, and how did it draw you?
