1 Peter 3: Always be ready
Read 1 Peter 3:1-22 before you meet.
In a few lines
1 Peter 3 doesn't stop at "Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you" (3:15). It goes on, "with humility and fear," (3:15). And in place of insult for insult it says, "but instead blessing" (3:9).
The verse to carry
“Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous,”
1 Peter 3:8
To talk about
1. "Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous," (3:8). Which of these would you most like to see grow in your group?
2. "not rendering evil for evil or insult for insult; but instead blessing" (3:9). What could answering with blessing look like in an ordinary week?
3. "Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear," (3:15). If someone asked you about the hope that is in you, what would you want to say?
