1 Corinthians 16: With my own hand

Read 1 Corinthians 16:1-24 before you meet.

In a few lines

Near its end the letter says, "Let all that you do be done in love." (16:14), and its last words are "My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen." (16:24). In the Greek, love is the same noun in both.

The verse to carry

“Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong! Let all that you do be done in love.”

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

To talk about

  1. 1. "Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!" (16:13). Which of these four do you most need to hear this week, and why?

  2. 2. "Let all that you do be done in love." (16:14). What is one ordinary thing you will do this week that you could do in love?

  3. 3. "For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge those who are like that." (16:18). Who has refreshed your spirit lately, and how could you acknowledge them?
